Much as I like to be the good guy, and I do help these kids out, a lot, they are young adults and this is like the old foreign exchange student program. They just call it the J1 Visa Program. State Department sponsored, and hard to get into because of 9.11.2001. So, in order to even get here, they, themselves, have done a tremendous amount of hard work.
I am just a host. I tell them that I cannot travel, so they all bring the world to me each summer.

Kidney doctor is adament to have a dermatologist look at this funky looking growth between right eye right ear.. Still waiting for that appointment.
But, after 4 years of slipping down the rabbit hole....dr. asked me,"Are you depressed?":S

Oh well. I'm just so glad the kids of summer are coming again this year.
I know it wears you out but it makes me happy to.

He is fearfully aggressive, and grabbing him is a hard job. Once said visitor is inside the gate he knows he has done his job.
After having one episode of this yesterday, where my little Mickey got nipped, we headed to the vet's office for antibiotics for Mickey. And, just temporarily, the little blind dog went on doggie prozac today. They are two little tough Jacks, so I know they will figure it out too. The problem is that neither of the other dogs realize that the little blind dog is sightless, so when he stumbles into them, especially Selkie, who grew up feral, she figures he is looking for a rumble. LOL But, for the most wonderful part of the day, we are peaceful mountain, or more appropriately, sand dune, or swamp, if you really want to put a fine point on it... confused
We will find out on Friday whether his sight can be restored in one eye. Hoping so hard for the little fella. He is a sweet little soul. :doggy

Also on Friday, 4 boys from Kosovo will arrive, so that is a big day for us here. They land like someone from outter space thinking they are in a Hollywood movie. It is wild. But, I do thrive on the energy and the new friends.



I am so tired, and will relish my time in the garden in a couple of weeks. Soooo happy it is spring, if only my will gets me to plant, that is enough to get some good tomatoes. I had a good sized raised bed built for later season gardening too. Will have lots of potatoes this year, I hope.

As for the Olympics, the sailing is the closest I will get now. Depending on which way the races are run there is a chance we may get to see some in the distance. And, the kids are all pretty much self suficient once I point them in the right direction with a decent bicycle.

I just received my last shipment of drugs for the triple therapy. The best part was seeing the "no refills" on the label.

5 more weeks to go!

If interested, here is a list of all the side effects I have experience in the past 5 months:

chills, headache, fatigue, rash, thrush, anemia, low white blood count, dry mouth, muscle spasms, and the newest one, hair loss.
