Cindy-Wee Willow One's Story

Wee Willow One

Hi my name is Cindy-Wee Willow One. I'm 41 years old and currently on Pegetron. I have had Hep C for approximately 9 years. I contracted it through my childrens father. We lived together commonlaw for 14 years. We have 2 beautiful children, daughter 19 and son 15. I am also a grandmother to a beautiful little boy 1yr.

Through the years together we dabbled in drugs mostly coke. My ex was also a manic depressant who over time lost control of his disease and began to fall deeper into depression and suicide. He would take off for 4 days at a time to Vancouver and get so messed up on Heroin and come home when he ran out of drugs or money. I knew it was time for me to go and live my life in a safer envionment for me and especially our kids.

It took 2 years for me to build the strength and courage to go and finally I did. I never did heroin or any other drug but coke and even that I did sparingly. I figure I contracted it through snorting with my ex. He probably picked it up from doing Heroin or maybe from the shitty tatoos he got from friends in rehab. Either way it happened and now I'm here with new friends and on my mission to recover from it.

I left my ex in 1994 and have remarried to a good man who is totally drug free. He's been great support through this and he has never contracted hep c from me which is a blessing. My ex passed away 2.5 years ago from Heroin overdose/suicide and all I know is he is in a happier place. He is free from the Devil that took him and all his suffering has ceased.

I lived with anger, denial the first years i found out. I couldn't understand how I could have this when I spent my last years with my ex trying to save his life. As time went on I hated who I became and just finally one day told myself to take control and do something about it. Not only was I hurting myself but everyone else in my life. So here I am, taking control and doing something about.
