Jeannef's Story

Hi my name is Jeanne. I was diagnosed in feb. 2001. I guess I've had hep c for a while. I don't dwell on that because where I got it doesn't matter. I live one day at a time. I'm 38 and been married to my hubby for 17 years. I've got 4 kids and the oldest daughter I gave up and she found me when she turned 18. The other kids are 17,15 and 13 years . The two youngest have been helping me get through my treatment. I started treatment on 6/6/01 and I'm on peg combo. I'm responding and I hope to be able to kill this dragon. They say I've got a good chance because I'm a 2b. I try to remain positive about treatment. I've met so many great people on the internet that have helped me out and I to try to help in returned. I've truly learned a great deal about myself and other heppers. Even though I'm sick I feel better on the inside because I'm a better person inside now. I learn more everyday about hep c. The thing I don't get is why people aren't more educated on the subject. Some people make you feel like you have to hide from the world because your not welcome and others make you feel better because it ok to have hep c. I didn't ask to get hep c and nobody else did either but we have to live with it and fight it everyday. I will continue to fight untill this dragon is put to rest.
